FAKRO company was established in the 1991 in Nowy Sacz

History

FAKRO was established in 1991 in Nowy Sacz, a very beautiful city situated 60 miles south of Krakow, and about the same distance from the Polish Tatra Mountains.

The Company's roots, however, run much deeper. The seed of the idea to create a company to produce roof windows in Poland was planted over twenty-five years ago. In 1986, FAKRO founder, Ryszard Florek – the current president of the company and joint owner – established a woodworking factory in his family’s town of Tymbark. Florek reinvested the profits earned from the woodworking operations to develop and expand the company for professional production of roof windows in Nowy Sacz.
Today FAKRO is one of the world’s leading producers with an estimated 15% share of the global roof window market and is the unquestioned leader in Poland. The FAKRO Group is comprised of five manufacturing companies sited in Poland and ten foreign subsidiaries. FAKRO employs over 3,000 people.

FAKRO offers an extensive selection of skylights and roof windows together with a wide range of accessories and loft ladders. FAKRO products are sold in numerous countries throughout the world – in fact, in every country where skylights and roof windows are used.
